Since 1974 the Taw Valley Creamery has been producing award-winning cheese. Situated in the heart of the Devon countryside, surrounded by lush green grass and rolling hills, the milk that goes into the creamery is collected from more than 700 dairy farms, many of which are located within a 30 mile radius.
Surrounded by glorious pasture, we combine fresh local ingredients with a wealth of cheese making experience to create our stunning range of Cheddars, Red Leicester and Double Gloucester.
The river Taw runs through some of the most beautiful locations in Devon, from the dramatic tors of Dartmoor to the rich farmland of the Taw Valley itself. The area, made famous in Henry Williamson’s classic novel Tarka the Otter, continues to draw visitors from all over the world to appreciate its scenery, wildlife and mouth-watering produce.
